Piano
Having trained on the piano for over a decade and taken several Trinity exams, I have found music to be a journey of continuous learning, discipline and expression. Over the years, I have progressed from learning the basic notes of the instrument to increasingly challenging pieces that demand patience, attention to detail and an understanding of the feeling behind each note.
Preparing for the Trinity exams has shown me how important consistency and perseverance are, while performing has allowed me to express myself in ways words could not always do. The piano has become more than an instrument I play; it is an art form I have refined over the years through practice and expression.
My passion for music inspired me to choose Fourier analysis and the inharmonicity of piano strings as the topic of my Mathematics AA HL Internal Assessment.
